The Safe 7 is Trezor’s flagship hardware wallet for Bitcoin and shitcoins, marking the most successful launch in the company’s ten-year history. Machined from aluminum, Bluetooth-enabled, and wirelessly charged, this devices set a new benchmark for the industry. A custom-built LED screen and touch panel work in seamless conjunction with both mobile and desktop applications.
Superlight task lamp provides a full 3-axis range of motion, emitting warm, glare-free LED light from an array of micro LEDs. It comes available as a desk, floor, wall, clamp or ‘in desk’, as a grommet mounted fixture.
For enterprise networking leader Aerohive, I developed a new transitional design language to define their next-generation suite of 802.11AX hardware. This strategic framework allowed for maximum flexibility, and a cohesive identity across a family of three distinct products while providing a scalable blueprint for future extensions. The successful launch of this design-led refresh supported Aerohive’s market growth, culminating in the company's $272M acquisition by Extreme Networks.
During a long-term, 10+ year collaboration with Sony, my work moved fluidly between high-level strategy and production ready industrial design. The projects shown here offer a small glimpse into the breadth and depth of our partnership. There have been design patents attained for work completed there and a major Sony sustainable initative (internal) has been credited to the ‘odo’ project. My SSD is full of Sony work.
In partnership with corporate design leadership, the Dell business Latitude line was evolved through a new design language aimed at redefining thin and light professional laptops. The challenge was to push boundaries within extremely tight engineering tolerances and complex mechanical constraints while ensuring the work integrated seamlessly into Dell's existing enterprise architecture. The concepts represent select strategic directions delivered over an intensive visualization phase and were required to easily translate between the 11 inch and 13 inch models.
Paid engagement exploring speculative product strategies. This program’s goal was initiated to increase customer acquisition of Evernote’s software platform. Specifically envisioned as a bridge between hardware and software, it would have extended Evernotes reach beyond mobile. This small mobile smart speaker was for meetings; to document, summarize and create calendar notations accross all attendees via voice. Seems familiar, but this was done pre-artificial inelligence’s recent wide release.
I partnered with Nestlé on design language and structural exploration for Coffee mate and Chameleon. Collaborating with Nestlé’s cross-functional teams and Sterling (NYC), we moved rapidly from concept to production. The final Coffee mate design debuted in national TV spots before its full retail rollout and DTC launch. The Chameleon project was prototyped and qualitatively tested, then paused for resource allocation.
Working alongside the NYC agency Mucca, I developed the structural packaging concepts for the launch of Shinsegae’s future premium skincare portfolios. This partnership bridged brand strategy with industrial design, resulting in a distinct physical identity for the Vidivici and Poiret lines. Select concepts are featured here alongside early ‘sketches’ and small development details. Further details highlighted in the ‘
In partnership with Tolleson, the Anolon brand was evolved through a new design language designed to mirror its updated strategic vision. The challenge was to ensure the physical products embodied this new identity without disrupting the larger existing brand portfolio. The concepts represent select strategic directions delivered over two intensive rounds of development. Credit Tolleson : print/brand development
